Man booked into Carson City Jail for charges related to September car shooting on North Carson
An 18-year-old California man was booked into Carson City Jail for felony warrant charges stemming from a Sept. 7 shooting and subsequent pursuit that led to the arrests of three others.
Antonio Scott, listed with a Livermore, Calif., address, was extradited to Carson City for the warrant, issued Nov. 12, 2021 out of Carson City Justice Court. The warrant alleges eluding a peace officer, battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, according to a sheriff's office booking report.
On Sept. 7, 2021 the Carson City Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle shooting randomly at another vehicle on North Carson Street.
The suspect vehicle fled and was involved in a pursuit with police vehicles. The pursuit ended in California and two suspects, Sydney Smith and Tiare Smith, were taken into custody and another male suspect, Curtis Adams, 18, was apprehended in California a couple days after the incident.
The Carson City Sheriff’s Office had been actively trying to locate and apprehend the last male suspect, Antonio Scott, since the incident. In collaboration with the United States Marshals, Antonio Scott was located and arrested in Antioch, Calif., on Dec. 7, 2021 on the Carson City felony warrant and was extradited to Carson City on Tuesday, said CCSO Detective Kevin Murry.
Scott's bail is set at $100,000 cash only. Adams also remains in custody at Carson City Jail with the same charges: eluding a peace officer, battery with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
