Six decorated Christmas trees with sign saying 'free' found in Carson City field
In the field by 5th Street and Roop Street in Carson City, between the old tennis court and the fire station, is a gravel berm. I work in a building close by and noticed that decorated Christmas trees have been placed along the berm.
Being curious, I walked over there and found half a dozen decorated trees on stands, though not with water, and there was a "FREE" sign in front of them. If anyone needs a beautiful tree, please go look at these trees.
They are 8-9 feet tall and have simple glass ball ornaments on them. Unfortunately, the wind has blown some of them over, but they all look to be in good shape. Maybe the secret tree gifter will be happy to see that their good deed is being recognized.
Editor's note: This writeup was submitted Dec. 9 by Jennifer Zampanti before the storm over the weekend. So if the trees are still there, they may have some snow covering them. They did, however, get a nice drenching Saturday afternoon before the snowfall. If any reader happens upon the trees, let us know and grab a pic of your find.
