Notification of CARES Act funding opportunity in Carson City
In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program has allocated the Nevada Non-Entitlement CDBG Program through the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development the amount of $283,213 to Carson City. From the $283,213, $70,426 has not been funded. This notice is to fund the remaining $70,426.
The funds have to be used specifically for the prevention of, preparation for, and response to the Coronavirus. This allocation was authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed on March 27, 2020.
The funding distribution will be through a grant application to Carson City.

2. The maximum amount requested is $70,426.
3. Projects will be scheduled to be completed within 12 months of the project award date with the exception of construction projects. Construction projects must be completed within 24 months of the project award date.
4. The application due date is November 23, 2020 by 4:00 p.m. to Carson City. Applications must be received by November 23, 2020, please keep that in mind when you mail your application.
