RSVP by Sept. 26 for Women's Empowerment Workshop and learn how you can lead the way
The Nevada Commission for Women is presenting a Women's Empowerment workshop in Carson City to encourage women to get more involved with government Boards and Commissions. The event is free but RSVPs by Wednesday, Sept. 26, are strongly encouraged, and greatly appreciated. Space is limited, so please RSVP to m.walt@admin.nv.gov by Wednesday if you plan to attend the Sept. 28, 2018, 8 – 10:30 a.m. workshop.
The Commission is proud to host keynote speaker Justice Lidia Stiglich, Nevada Supreme Court, who will share her thoughts on "Seeking Leadership and Breaking Barriers."
Other dynamic and enlightening speakers include Carson City Cultural and Tourism Authority Board Member Karen Abowd, as well as Jonathan Boulware, former Chair of the Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau Board and current VP of Jacob's Entertainment. Pam Roberts, Nevada Women's Lobby, will moderate the workshop and attendees will have a chance to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speakers and each other.
The workshop is in Room 3100 of the State Legislative Building, 401 S. Carson St. and is sponsored by Nathan Adelson Hospice.
