Yoga and the Art of Balance
Paul Cheek will teach this yoga workshop to explore what keeps us out of balance and how the practice of yoga asanas (poses) and other limbs of yoga help us cultivate emotional balance (equanimity) in our relationships and within ourselves.
Asana work will be tailored to suit the student. Paul Cheek is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher since 1999. He meets students where they are and encourages them to practice appropriately. His instructions are clear, inspirational, loving, compassionate and dynamic. These workshop hours are eligible towards the 200h or 500h requirements for the yoga teacher listing with The Yoga Alliance Registry.
Schedule: Oct 2, Fri, 6-8p, Asana. Oct 3, Sat, 9:30a-12:30p, Asana; 2-4p Restorative and Pranayama. Oct. 4, Sun, 9:30a-12:30p, Asana; 2-4p Metta Meditation. Come for the entire week-end or register for each session individually. Early bird for the whole week-end is $215 by Sept 18; $240 after Sept 18. Individual sessions are $20/hr. Proceeds for the Metta Meditation will be donated to FISH, Carson City.
