Carson High School FFA hosts ice cream social, gears up for upcoming 'Cow Plop' fundraiser
The Capitol FFA chapter recently hosted an exciting ice cream social that brought together students for an evening of fun and camaraderie. The event was a delightful success, featuring homemade ice cream that added a personal touch to the gathering.
Members of the FFA chapter rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with the ice cream-making process. The homemade ice cream was a hit, with students savoring every scoop while mingling and getting to know one another.
A highlight of the evening was the introduction of the new chapter officers. These leaders took the opportunity to meet and greet fellow FFA members, sharing some of their plans for the upcoming year. Their enthusiasm and dedication were evident, and they received a warm welcome from all attendees.
In addition to the Ice Cream Social, the Capitol FFA is also gearing up for a fun and unique fundraiser called the Cow Plop.
Here's how it works: participants can buy a square for $5 or get 5 squares for $20. A large grid will be laid out in a field, and each square will be available for purchase. Once all the squares are sold, a cow will be released onto the grid. If the cow happens to "plop" in your square, you win $250. So make sure to buy before the due date on Sept. 12.
The Cow Plop fundraiser is not only a creative and entertaining way to raise funds, but it also brings the community together in a light-hearted and engaging manner. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards supporting Capitol FFA activities and projects, helping to enrich the experiences of all members. To participate, you can purchase squares from any of the FFA officers at Carson High School.
The Ice Cream Social and Cow Plop fundraiser not only provided a delicious treat and a fun activity but also fostered a sense of community and teamwork among the Capitol FFA members. It was a perfect start to the year, setting a positive tone for the exciting activities and projects ahead.
