Carson High students among 20 Nevada Youth Council members recognized for community efforts

Every year AmeriCorps and Nevada Volunteers choose students from various high schools all over Nevada to participate in a Youth Council dedicated to serving the community through a variety of projects that the students choose.

This year several students from Carson High School applied to represent Carson City School District in this Council and are looking for non-profits to assist them in making our community a better place.

One of Carson High's very own, Tanner McCune, was also selected to participate in the council's officer team as their treasurer approving council grants and funding.

The council members meet every second Tuesday of each month to discuss their projects. These students are beginning their future as leaders in the community by making it a better place.
