Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space hosts 'Walk with the Weeds'
Noxious weeds cause damage to our native Nevadan plants, causing issues for the farming industry, local wild-life, and more. Learn how to recognize common invasive weeds, in addition to our Nevada native plants, on Wednesday, June 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
You will also have the opportunity to witness the progress of a biological-control experiment targeting the noxious weed, Canada thistle. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are advised for this short, educational hike. This hike will be at Morgan Mill Preserve, 5705 Morgan Mill Road, Carson City. Register at: www.carson.org/ccpr
Note: In the recent Activity Guide, the Walk with the Weeds event was originally listed for July 6, this date has been changed to the current one featured on this event page.
