Comedian & Actor Craig Shoemaker performing at “Piper’s Opera House” in Virginia City, NV!

Event Date:
July 6, 2024 - 7:00pm

We at Reno Tahoe Comedy are excited to present Comedian & Actor Craig Shoemaker! Craig is a maestro of mirth and a sultan of snickers and has journeyed through the galaxy of giggles for over four cosmic decades. Crowned as the Comedian of the Year at the star-studded American Comedy Awards on ABC, he’s also a two-time bearer of the coveted NATAS Emmy scepter.

His stand-up saga, “Daditude,” a 90-minute cavalcade of chuckles, took a prime-time bow on SHOWTIME Network, basking in the Netflix spotlight for moons on end.

A jester to jesters, Craig has unfurled his banner of banter before no less than four commanders-in-chief US presidents. With a quartet of solo comedy specials, a Broadway encore, and a duo of NATAS Emmy triumphs, he’s not just a funnyman but a wordsmith, a silver-screen visionary, and a literary luminary with a novel and a pair of children’s tales to his name.

As the architect of “Winning With Humor,” Craig’s laughter legacy includes coaching souls to soar with snickers and crafting a training system that tickles the serious out of life.

His cinematic spells have been cast in “Totally Baked” and “The LoveMaster,” with Universal acclaim. His charm has graced “Parks & Recreation” not once, but twice, and he’s dazzled in “Pleasantville,” “Scream 2,” “Fuller House,” and even danced through the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.”

At the helm of Amazon Prime’s “The Wolf Pac” and “Comedy Kitchen,” Craig stirs up a feast of funnies, while his name echoes in the IMDB “Top 100 Stand Up Comics” hall of fame, with a Comedy Central special hailed among the top 20 of all time.

Through his nonprofit “Laughter Heals,” Craig’s comedic crusade has spanned the globe, culminating in a TED Talk that’s nothing short of legendary, all in the quaint hamlet of Ojai, CA. Behold, the man who speaks in jest, yet touches hearts in earnest, the one and only Craig Shoemaker.

While staying at the enchanting Renaissance recently, I had a view of the Truckee River, and a half dozen homeless folks dwelling there on her silent shores. They pretty much kept to themselves until a gregarious gentleman came along with something to eat that he passed out to one after another until they were all up and around on the riverbank, bargaining and trading with what little they had to offer. This was quite possibly their main meal for the day, and they were exhibiting great gladness in celebrating it.
