Personal Trainer Certification offered through Western Nevada College
In partnership with the World Instructor Training Schools, Western Nevada College’s Continuing Education department is offering a new 10-week personal trainer certification course, preparing students for their national certifying exams and combining lecture with practical experience.
During the program, students will receive the knowledge and training to be a successful personal trainer with the industry’s only live, hands-on practical labs. After completing the 30-hour program and passing the National Commission for Certifying Agencies-accredited written and practical skills exams, students will be ready to work immediately in the personal training field.
As a bonus, students will have the opportunity to receive an advanced certification at no additional cost. The level 2 Certified Personal Trainer program offers students the opportunity to complete an employer-assisted internship, which walks many graduates directly into great careers.
Courses are scheduled once weekly in the late afternoons to accommodate working adults and are open to anyone in the Northern Nevada community. The class registration fee includes a test voucher for the certification exam, as well as lifetime employment assistance.
Classes begin Feb. 19. Interested community members can visit www.wnc.edu/continuing-education/personal-trainer-certification or call (775) 445-4241 for more information or to register.
