As part of National Drug Take Back Day, Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC), AmeriCorps members with HCC, and Lyon County Sheriff's Office will come together to host drop off locations in Dayton and Silver Springs for unneeded medications.

This is a wonderful event, with children from 4-H and FFA showing their animals, roping demonstrations, animal exhibits, antique farm implements, food and beverages, and a hay auction to benefit our local 4-H and FFA programs.

He is project manager for Preserve Carson City Roads, a campaign designed to educate Carson City drivers about current roadway conditions, preservation solutions, potential funding sources, and what will happen if sufficient investments are not made to preserve our roads. Chris' presentation will be a status report on progress his project team has made to date.

The concert will feature a variety of music, from Broadway show tunes to marches and patriotic songs. A special feature will be “Home Means Nevada” arranged by Marine Band Sgt. Scott Ninmer.
