Large animal rescue team needs volunteers, orientation Saturday in Dayton
Least Resistance Training Concepts, Northern Nevada's large animal rescue team, is in need of additional volunteers. As an all-volunteer organization, LRTC provides urgent assistance to both domestic and wild large animals.
Nearly 90 percent of LRTC’s responses go to help the Virginia Range Mustangs. LRTC comes in, when either the public or the animals are in danger. You may have seen LRTC in action moving Mustangs out of harm’s way while dressed in their orange safety vests. It’s not un-common to see LRTC working along with law enforcement.
LRTC is specifically seeking people who reside in Fernley, Dayton, Carson City and South Reno who have some time to volunteer and help provide a critical service to the community. There are multiple paths for volunteers to consider pursuing and no experience is necessary. LRTC provides all training free of charge.
A new volunteer orientation session will be held at the Dayton Community Center on Saturday, Oct. 21. The center is located at 1234 Main Street in Dayton and will start at 12 noon. Refreshments will be provided.
If you want to be part of a caring team that truly makes a difference in the lives of both people and large animals, please consider attending this orientation.
