The Carson City Senior Center's sale of gently used jewelry to benefit the Meals on Wheels program will be Thursday and Friday, Sept. 16-17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a special sale with the Community Garage Sale on Saturday, Sept. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby of the Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Hot August Nights Foundation hosts Sept. 18 'Classics & Cocktails'

In addition to fundraising efforts held during the annual Hot August Nights event, the foundation holds an annual fundraiser dinner, Classics & Cocktails, taking place Sept. 18 at the Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa. The foundation raises funds for youth that are considered in need or at-risk in northern Nevada.
