GARDNERVILLE — Applications are now open for artists and crafters for participation in the 3rd Annual Ag & Artisan Holiday Faire, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Storke Dairy located at 876C Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. Food vendors must have their own health permits. The application period closes Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m.

This is my last article for 2023, but I’ll be back early next year. I thought I would look back on all the gardening experiences I had this year. The year started less than auspiciously. We were without power, water or heat for five days. That was followed by flooding, which provided our annual rainfall in one week.
