Nevada’s unemployment rate was unchanged from September to October with the rate staying at 5.4 percent, according to the state's Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation's monthly economic report.

As a young mother hoping to create positive and lasting holiday memories for my daughter, I would book us for breakfast with Santa that usually took place in a large department store when we lived in Washington D.C and San Diego.

Jack C. Davis Observatory's lecture series focusing on topics in astronomy and science continues on Saturday night, Nov. 18.
