A vehicle rollover was reported at the Carson City/Lyon County line in the Eastbound lanes of Highway 50 E. just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.

A fire at an apartment building in the 700 block of Silver Oak is now out thanks to Carson City fire crews.

The fire cause is unknown at this time, according to Fire Chief Sean Slamon, and investigators are enroute to the scene as of 3:15 p.m.

Just after 5 p.m. an injury accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle was reported on Highway 50 E. in front of the CVS, according to dispatch.

It’s reported that the motorcyclist is laying in the road behind the vehicle.

First responders are enroute. Motorists should seek alternate routes.

However, northbound traffic in the valley is still closed by NHP.

Traffic is backed up as of 2:45 p.m. on I-580 near Washoe Valley following a chase and traffic stop involving multiple armed motorcyclists.

A chase began within Carson City jurisdiction involving a motorcyclist who refused to stop and allegedly tried to run deputies off the road, according to dispatch. NHP was called once they entered NHP’s jurisdiction who appear to have taken over the investigation which ended near Bellevue.

It is good news to hear the CDC has eased outdoor and indoor mask-wearing guidance. We are hopeful of more normality on the horizon.

A 45-year-old Carson City woman was arrested during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in the area of Roop and Long after allegedly violating her parole after deputies found two medications without a prescription present in her purse, one for indigestion and another for pancreatic dysfunction.
