The Rotary Club of Carson City is giving the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program at Eagle Valley Middle School a boost.

The club recently awarded teacher Kimberly Tucker a $4,000.00 grant to purchase additional robotics kits for the school’s 6th grade LEGO Robotics Class.

A vehicle crash with injury was reported at 2:50 p.m. in the area of College Parkway and Northgate.

The Nevada Division of Tourism and Travel Nevada have notified the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce of the award of a $17,653.00 Rural Marketing Grant to distribute up to 20,000 Outdoor Recreational Brochures and 10,000 Dayton and Mound House maps. This is the largest award the Dayton Chamber has ever received from Travel Nevada.

The first Homestead Holidays arrived in 2019 at Silver Saddle Ranch in Carson City, bringing a free, community evening event to the capital city that was filled with old-fashioned Christmas charm.
