After a 2 year hiatus, due to the Pandemic, the ever popular and very educational ComputerCorps TechCamp Summer Series is back, and now would like to honor our 2022 graduating class!

For the last 22 years, Students Ages 9-15 have fun, and learn about computer recycling, testing, assembly and operation. At the end of the Camp, they take home their own computer that they have built.

Great Basin Brewery held their formal ribbon cutting celebration on June 23 attracting many to toast the new venture between Bonda and Tom Young who started the brewery and renown Chef and restaurateur Mark Estee of the Local Food Group.

While Michoacan A pedir de boca might be new to Carson City, their ice cream and popsicle recipes are much older, stemming all the way from Guadalajara.

Owner Oscar Luna, who co-owns the ice cream, popsicle and general treatery, said that the original recipe began in Mexico after there was an excess of dairy, and quick thinkers moved to them that excess into ice cream, which led to the Michoacan (roughly pronounced me-cho-ah-kahn to those mono-linguists) recipe.

Guest teacher Don Scott leads Space Exploration Science activities Tuesday

Parents and their children ages 8 to 12 are invited to come up to the Comstock town of Silver City for fun activities about Space Exploration Science and NASA.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development Board approved seven companies that will receive $53,112,166 in tax abatements. In return these companies are required to create 1,013 jobs in the next two years at an average weighted hourly wage of $28. That figure is expected to grow to 1,722 in five years.
