Traffic re-directed after single vehicle crash on Curry Street behind railroad museum
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Thursday morning to a single vehicle crash that happened on Curry Street behind the Nevada State Railroad Museum.
The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. in which the driver hit a guard rail, causing airbag deployment. No serious injuries were reported. Traffic on Curry Street is being redirected and a flatbed tow truck has been called. A power line was struck in the crash, according to a battalion chief on scene. NV Energy is responding.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and take an alternate route.
Earlier the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division and Central Lyon County Fire responded to a vehicle crash with injuries east of Carson City on Highway 50 near Mound House. The crash, in the eastbound lane, was reported at 9:54 a.m. Motorists can expect delays.
