Rice Hydro Inc., located in Carson City, Nevada, is proud to announce the launch of a new product in its Hydrostatic Test Pump Series. Dubbed the Pipeline Chlorinator, the innovative unit is a patent pending pump capable of chlorinating water in parts per million (PPM) in addition to pressure testing new or existing water lines. Carson City students are recognizing and honoring military men and women this week with Veteran’s Day displays and events. Veterans from all branches of military service, as well as families of students, have been encouraged to attend or participate in events Wednesday and Thursday. Campus visitors should check in at the front office at each school site.

A man was arrested Sunday for multiple felony counts of firearm possession offenses, drug possession and misdemeanor domestic battery among other alleged offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office report.

Snow showers are pushing through the Carson City and lower valley areas Monday morning, with snow accumulating in the foothills and in Washoe Valley, where chains are required.

The Nevada State Museum presented a free Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, event in collaboration with Western Nevada College and Visit Carson City on Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m.
