Carson City authorities are looking for a John "Nubs" Linville, 17, who allegedly stabbed his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, and then shot at her father, Sheriff Ken Furlong reports.
Linville reportedly had been arguing with his ex-girlfriend throughout the day before going to her home at about 9:30 on Sunday night in the 1500 block of Walker Drive, Furlong said.
He allegedly confronted the girl on her porch and stabbed her in the back shoulder blade, causing a minor injury. The girl's father reportedly heard the commotion and confronted Linville, who pulled out a gun. During the struggle, the gun went off and the bullet apparently hit the father in the chest and fell to the floor, causing only a powder burn on the victim, Furlong said. The knife, gun and bullet have all been recovered.
Linville is described as 5' 11" tall, and missing his left arm from a birth defect.
