Carson City's Denny's, located at 2299 N. Carson Street, will be reopening Wednesday.

The popular breakfast chain closed following a fire in the kitchen that led to many renovations including acquiring all new appliances, according to Manager Carmen Ronyak.

The next Carson City School District School Board meeting will take place tonight, Tuesday Oct. 25 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Robert ‘Bob’ Crowell Board Room within the Carson City Community Center.

Items up for discussion at the school board include group health care insurance, Family Life Committee member selections, changes to regulations and more.

CARSON CITY, Nev. – For Minuteman Press franchise owners Larry and Tami Jacobs, the printing industry is not new. “Our background prior to franchising with Minuteman Press was … wait for it … printing and graphics. Tami has been in the industry her whole life with parents who also spent their entire careers in the industry. Larry jumped in to printing shortly after marrying Tami in 1985.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for alleged felony offenses in a fraudulent check cashing scheme, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
