The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help in locating a man reported missing and last heard from family in July.

Western Nevada College Foundation is reaching a milestone in presenting its Golf for Education tournament fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 27, at Toiyabe Golf Club in Washoe Valley.

The scramble tournament, which helps fund students in workforce training, turns 25 this year! Players can look forward to exciting contests, premium perks, a BBQ lunch, and a lively post-tournament reception.

A post is circulating social media that earlier today, the Carson City Sheriff's Office was searching for any information relating to an incident that was reported to have occurred between a middle-school aged pedestrian student and a vehicle near Carson Middle School around 7:20 a.m. Friday morning.

Because of cold and windy conditions expected tonight (Friday, Aug. 23), Cherie and John Shipley's "Take This Band" performance has been moved to the Performance Hall (the old church building) at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. The concert will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
