A Carson City judge has blocked Reno attorney and former Republican gubernatorial candidate Joey Gilbert’s effort to re-do the 2022 primary election, finding that “no competent evidence” was presented that would warrant the extraordinary changes Gilbert sought.

Get in the Act! Arts in Action announces a FREE "Radio Theater Acting Workshop" for Senior Citizens at Dayton Valley Library on Monday's and Wednesday's for 3-weeks beginning Sept. 12.

Funded by Nevada Arts Council & the National Endowment for the Arts, the workshop focuses on applying acting skills such as characterization, emotion and conflict to an old-time radio script to create a moving performance.

Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City is asking for input from the public on a community needs assessment survey. Survey responses will help the museum better serve the community and move forward after recent events led to its subsequent closure.

The search continues for missing 16-year-old Kiely Rodni who was last seen near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee at a party early Saturday, August 6, 2022. The Placer County Sheriff's Office considers her disappearance an abduction case. A $50,000 reward is being offered by the Rodni family. Also, a website, www.findkiely.com has been established by family and friends to aid in the search.

While there is no cure, there have been studies that show key lifestyle changes may decrease the risk of having dementia.

Students are returning to classrooms with additional resources this year. The State of Nevada has invested $75 million for free school meals in Nevada schools operating the National School Lunch Program to continue pandemic recovery and ensure students have food to eat by providing free school breakfast and lunch. NSLP is administered through the Nevada Department of Agriculture.

The Carson City Moose Lodge work team volunteered at the Sutro Tunnel property on August 7. The team spent the majority of the day making improvements to the structure referred to as the carriage house. The lodge members are working with the Friends of the Sultro Tunnel to support the restoration effort.
