Did you feel it? Magnitude 4.4 earthquake shakes southeast of Topaz Lake
USGS and the Nevada Seismological Laboratory confirm that a 4.4 magnitude earthquake happened at 1:44 p.m. Monday afternoon approximately 8 miles southeast of Topaz Lake in Mono County and east of Coleville.
The earthquake was followed by 13 smaller quakes, with the largest thus far being a 2.5 magnitude that happened at 3:37 p.m., according to the Seismological Laboratory.
