Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said the sheriff's office and the Carson City Fire Department were alerted Monday afternoon about the 911 phone line being unavailable to those with the Spectrum phone service. This impacts Spectrum/Charter customers only and does not impact incoming call capabilities from other phone and mobile services, said Furlong.

A winter storm continues Sunday at Lake Tahoe and Sierra bringing gusty wind and several inches of snow. Lower valley areas may see rain and light snow showers later Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 5, for former Carson City Supervisor Brad Bonkowski at the Nashville Social Club from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M.

The Artisan and Ag Holiday Faire offered numerous country themed gifts, agricultural products, hot food and livestock demonstrations to the Old Storke Dairy in Centerville Saturday.

Two Carson City women were arrested in the area of E. William Thursday night for possession of methamphetamine after allegedly cutting off a deputy.

According to the report, the deputy was patrolling in the area of E. William and Gold Dust West Way when a vehicle made a left hand turn on a yellow, cutting in front of the deputy who was driving through the intersection.

Nevada Rural Housing (NRH) announced its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV, also known as Section 8) wait list will open on December 9, 2022 and will remain open until December 16, 2022.

The HCV program is the federal government’s major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing in the private market.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office Investigations Division is seeking the identity of two suspects involved in a stabbing that happened late Wednesday night at a North Edmonds Drive casino.

On Thursday, the Board of Supervisors approved a zoning map amendment regarding a proposed development on N. Ormsby Lane.

The approval came after a second reading was held on the application from KP Investors LLC, which amends an 8.41 acre parcel from single family 12,000 to single family 6,000.
