Artist Erik Holland honored by Nevada Historical Society
Reno artist Erik Holland, who has created 22 paintings of Austin, Nev., historic buildings, is being honored at the Nevada Historical Society with a show and opening reception on Friday, Aug. 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Changing Gallery at the Nevada Historical Society Building across from the Fleishman Planetarium at the back of UNR Campus in Reno.
The theme of the show is Nevada Landscapes and there will be six of Austin paintings as well as 7 historic photos on the walls. The paintings are the Golden Club, The Hess Ranch (Reese River Valley), Pony Canyon House (my old brick house), Pony Express House, The Moss House (Liz Lani’s house on Main Street), The Pub.
