Miller Counseling is partnering with Douglas Center for Hope and Healing to offer grief support groups to Carson City and the surrounding rural communities Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Miller Counseling and Wellness Center is located at 104 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City.

The Center for Hope and Healing has been providing grief support to Douglas County for the last 10 years. The goal of building this partnership is to make the free support groups available and easier to access to more members of the Northern Nevada community.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Youth Cadet program is hosting the 4th annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. This event will take place Sunday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Sheriff’s Office Ormsby Room, 911 E Musser Street. All proceeds will go to the Cadet program to pay for equipment, uniforms and competitions.
