Carson City Friday Family Fun Days is kicking off the 2024 summer season at Mills Park Friday, June 21.

Each Friday, event goers can find either live music or a community movie in the park along with a selection of food trucks. Kids actives include giant Jenga, giant 4-across, giant velcro kick darts, cornhole, bean bag skee ball, chicken fingers, and a selfie spot.

Keith Alan Barnett will be on the stage at Polecat Tavern from 7 to 10pm on Friday, July 19th. International performer with influences from outlaw country to rock & pop. His interpretations of popular tunes are unique and innovative. Truly a night not to miss.

A summertime favorite for more than three decades, Karson Kruzers Run What Cha Brung Car Show returns to Carson City this Saturday, July 20.

Sierra Nevada Realtors will host a free document shredding day on Saturday, July 20 in Carson City.

Plumas Bank is accepting entries for their 2024 “Community Pride” photo competition. Community members can submit photos of the beautiful main streets, community landmarks and country landscapes that represent Plumas Bank’s branch service areas. This includes Carson City among 10 counties across Northeastern California and Northern Nevada.

Limited remaining seats for a kid’s sculpting and painting class! Participants ages 5-13 are welcome with any range of artistic background. This is a six-day, three week class from 5-6PM every Tuesday and Thursday where students will design, paint, and decorate their own clay monsters to bring home on their sixth day. It’s a great summer activity before going back to school to get kid’s out and about.

Miller Counseling is partnering with Douglas Center for Hope and Healing to offer grief support groups to Carson City and the surrounding rural communities Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Miller Counseling and Wellness Center is located at 104 W. Telegraph St. in Carson City.

The Center for Hope and Healing has been providing grief support to Douglas County for the last 10 years. The goal of building this partnership is to make the free support groups available and easier to access to more members of the Northern Nevada community.
