As an "Old Timer" who was born and raised in Carson City, the Nevada Day celebration has always been something special in my life.

When a deputy arrived they determined that a second officer was needed because of the situation, Furlong said. The female officer attempted to take the student into custody and the student began to fight the deputy and a taser was deployed.

Veterans and local military personnel assisted in the convoy that began from the Silverado Casino in Fernley and ended at Mills Park in Carson City, where it will be put up overnight in time for Nevada Day Festivities.
The Traveling Vietnam Wall honors our fallen servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice and paid the ultimate price in the name of freedom and duty.

I appreciate the opportunity to write a commentary regarding Carson City Question 1 (CC#1) because I hope I might reach those people who are undecided on CC1 because of all the fearful information being circulated.
