Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said Wednesday that the female student was in the school office, was in violation of probation and deputies were called asking that she be removed from campus.

When a deputy arrived they determined that a second officer was needed because of the situation, Furlong said. The female officer attempted to take the student into custody and the student began to fight the deputy and a taser was deployed.
