The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada has scheduled two consumer sessions on Thursday, Dec. 14, to hear public comments regarding the proposed rate hike.

Carson City Sheriff: Threats to Carson High School unsubstantiated, social media post investigated
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 12/12/2023 - 6:06amOn Monday evening at 10:29 p.m., the Carson City Sheriff’s Office began receiving the first of numerous information tips from social media platforms of a threat to Carson High School. The alleged threats suggested that a violent event would take place on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Sheriff Ken Furlong immediately informed Carson City Schools Superintendent Andrew Feuling of the allegations, who in turn notified school administrators.

Each meeting includes introductions from all attending, presentations by guest speakers, and discussion and updates about collaborative efforts to increase access to health care; nutritious food; workforce development; and prevention of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use.
