Carson City Rotarians to hear need for Children’s Advocacy Center from sheriff and lieutenant

Members of the Rotary Club of Carson City will learn about the need for a community-based Children's Advocacy Center in Carson City. Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong and Lieutenant Craig Lowe will lead the presentation which will also cover how interested persons can get involved.

The meeting takes place Tuesday, Oct. 31 at noon in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom, 449 West King Street, Carson City. The public is invited to attend.

Carson City arrests: Man known as 'Mr. Nice Guy' booked for alleged marijuana sales to minors

A 36-year-old man was arrested Saturday for multiple alleged felony drug offenses including selling a controlled substance in the presence of a child, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
