Northern Nevada gardens: A friend's mini arboretum offers patchwork of colors and textures

May Arboretum for almost 20 years, gardening, planting and maintaining their gardens. Every year the Arboretum holds a plant sale. I have never attended, but I hear the plant selection is fantastic, offering many unique plants for our area.

Sunday's Carson City Symphony concert moved indoors at North Room, Governor's Mansion
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Sun, 06/11/2023 - 4:13pmOrganizers of today's (Sunday) Carson City Symphony concert have decided to move the venue indoors at the Governor's Mansion' North Room (Larry Ruvo Stateroom).
Music Director David Bugli consulted several weather reporting systems (apps, websites, etc.), and has received several concerned calls and emails, and thus came to the conclusion that the chance of rain during the concert is more than likely.

Rotary Club of Carson City members will learn about the organization and its impact on our community at the next club meeting, Tuesday June 13. The public is invited to attend the noon luncheon which takes place in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom.
Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day - Spring

Volunteers of all ages and skill levels are invited to this fun, hands-on, in-the-field event. By pitching in, you will help improve the ecosystem function and the wildlife habitats that surround Lake Tahoe.
Healthy forests and meadows act as natural pollution filters to Keep Tahoe Blue. Volunteers will be provided training, equipment, refreshments, giveaways and lunch. In partnership with the Washoe Environmental Protection Department.
