A 25-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for a fugitive from justice warrant issued out of California, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Two children and an adult died in an early morning fire Thursday in Fallon, according to the Nevada State Fire Marshal.

This past weekend, Carson City was inundated with a hail and rain storm that caused flooding in several neighborhoods around town. Calls of flooded streets, storm drains backing up, and even three-foot-high geysers shooting out of manholes were coming in one right after another. Units from Douglas County were called to assist after Carson City units quickly became inundated with calls.
However, what was the most alarming for southwest residents, businesses and movie-goers, was the report of a significant mudslide at the Fandango Galaxy movie theater.

Sierra Nevada Realtors released its May 2023 report Monday on existing home sales in Carson City, Washoe, Storey, Lyon, Douglas and Churchill counties. The report includes median sales price and the number of home sales in the region. SNR obtains its information from the Northern Nevada Regional Multiple Listing Service.
