Next Coffee with Supervisor Lisa scheduled for June 14

Due to a scheduling conflict there won't be a May gathering; the next Coffee with Lisa will be June 14. Everyone is invited to meet at The Cracker Box on June 14 at 7 am. Nevada State Police, law enforcement statewide begin 'Click it or Ticket' patrol effort

Nevada State Police will be Joining Forces with other law enforcement agencies around the Silver State for the statewide seat belt safety event known as "Click It or Ticket," May 13-31.

Historic Piper’s Opera House in Virginia City, Nev., hosts Black Irish Band, May 20, 2023, on the same stage that once welcomed President Grant, Buffalo Bill, Al Jolson, Mark Twain and many more icons of days gone by. Today, the famed opera house plays host to performing arts once again in hosting a band with Celtic, Spanish and Italian roots performing historic songs of miners, cowboys, railroaders, sailors and more.
Virginia Truckee Railroad in Virginia City to begin its 48th season Memorial Day weekend

The Virginia Truckee Railroad begins its 48th season on May 27, 2023, with one hundred-year-old steam engine No. 29 at the lead. The scenic train ride departs daily from the original Virginia City depot where millionaires and miners departed 150 years ago.

Each Season the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA), the governing body of high school’s sports in the state of Nevada, presents the Nevada All -State Academic Team awards to varsity athletes with the 4.0 grade point average.
