‘Time for 20’: Educators take to the legislature to advocate for funding, smaller class sizes

Each Thursday, join the cruisers throughout Carson City from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for an evening of fun, which includes raffle drawings, a 50/50 at each show, as well as a Best of Show award selected by each hosting business.
Fourth of July Fireworks return to south shore, drones to north shore in Lake Tahoe

The popular Lights on the Lake show hosted by the Tahoe Douglas Visitor's Authority will start at 9:45 p.m. The fireworks will be launched off barges on Lake Tahoe near Edgewood Tahoe.

Carson City Humane Society's Pet of the Week: Oso

Oso is a small dog with a big heart and lots of love to give still. He is 10 years old and is blind and deaf, with moderate dental disease. He’s afraid of strangers and other dogs at first, but once he feels safe, he really comes out of his shell. Oso loves it when people sit with him as he eats and loves plushy toys.
He has been in the shelter since late April and loves to play with other dogs his size.
Parent Information Nights for ‘Ready to Rock Kinder’ Summer Program

The parent nights will include information on how to help your child this summer as well as provide some activities, skills and resources to help make practicing for kindergarten fun. Information will be available about summer school as well.
