The Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Inc. (RSVP) is hosting their 2nd Annual Veterans Pancake Breakfast at the Carson City Elks Lodge. The Veterans Pancake Breakfast is a free breakfast event for senior veterans.

Carson City student athletes, CHS football and band dominate recent competitions

Last week, student-athletes from Carson Middle School dominated several Tah-Neva League Championships while Carson High School’s Blue Thunder Band placed first at Reed and the Carson High varsity football team defeated Douglas, bringing home a few trophies and numerous smiles.

The next Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 20 beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Bob Crowell Board Room of the Community Center, located at 851 E. William Street.

Firefighters Association asks Carson City to move Sept. 11 I-beam from Mills Park, incorporate into new capitol memorial

In 2009, the Mayor of Carson City requested an item from the debris of the World Trade Center, and in 2013 Mills Park was designated as the permanent location for the Steel I-beam placement and the city’s memorial to those lost on Sept. 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attack.

Carson City arrests: Man booked for alleged felony domestic battery, child abuse/neglect offenses

A 28-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of felony child abuse/neglect causing mental harm, domestic battery with strangulation and other offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.

Early voting begins Saturday in Nevada; locations and hours for Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and more announced

Mid term elections are coming up quickly, with the first day to begin early voting scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 22.

While election day itself will take place as usual on Nov. 8, early voting will take place from Oct. 22 until Nov. 4.

Dental care available this week to Carson City area youth via Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, which offers affordable dental healthcare for youth, will be in the Carson City area daily through the end of the week, with Wednesday set aside in Gardnerville.

Carson City Clerk's Office: There's still time to register to vote, update voter registration online

To receive a mail ballot, you may register to vote or update your voter registration ONLINE ONLY at RegisterToVoteNV.gov through October 25, 2022. To register online you will need a current Nevada Driver's License or Identification Card and Social Security Number.
