Live outdoor music to make a return in Carson City and Minden this summer as COVID regulations continue to loosen

For the better part of a year now, live music in public venues has been long sought after as COVID-19 restrictions have kept people from gathering together.

This summer, however, local favorites to the Carson City and Carson Valley areas are prepared to take the stage once again in anticipation of restrictions loosening enough to do so.

Carson City area weather: Sunshine then cooler midweek with slight chance of showers

The sunny and pleasant spring weather will continue around the Carson City region over the next couple days, with more sunshine and generally light winds before a cooler pattern begins late Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

Lavon, an Administrative Specialist, upon the receiving of her award said “I have no need for a web cam or microphone on my computer; at a recent virtual staff meeting, my speakers experienced a case of the hiccups, and I lost the sound, so off to a co-worker’s office I went observing social distancing rules and sitting on the far side of the office just to listen to the staff meeting.”

Colorful hot air balloons filled the skies above S. Gardnerville Saturday morning, which were caught by balloon enthusiast Shannon Cord.
