Carson City investigators arrest Dayton man tied to string of storage unit burglaries

A 42-year-old Dayton man was arrested Tuesday in connection with several burglaries of commercial storage units that date back to last year, a Carson City sheriff's detective said.

The Carson City Raiders Booster Club will hold its inaugural Fishing Derby Saturday, May 20th at Topaz Lake.
Sign ups are from 6-8 a.m. behind the lodge. Entry fee is $10 per person; up to three lines in the water. Each entrant must have a valid/current fishing license. No exceptions. All fishing rules/laws must be followed.

Partnership Carson City course teaches mental health first aid

At the conclusion of a recent suicide-prevention presentation to sixth- and seventh-graders at Carson Middle School, students were invited to turn in requests for additional help. Hannah McDonald, who coordinated the presentation as the training specialist for Partnership Carson City, said 120 students responded.
