Carson J.V. club pulls out one-run win to split twin-bill
MINDEN -- A five-run second inning and some clutch work by Carter Nuckolls coming out of the bullpen helped the Carson High J.V. baseball team pull out a 7-6 victory and salvage a split of its double header against Douglas on Saturday.
Carson, now 2-1 in Sierra League play and 5-2 overall for the season, dropped a 10-4 verdict against Douglas in the opener. Carson took two of three games in the series.
