Senator Square: Time for the Happiest Carson High School Homecoming on Earth

Friday Sept. 13, no bad luck on this day, beginning at 1:18 p.m. was an assembly in the Big Gym during the last class of the day as an introduction to CHS’ Happiest Homecoming on Earth. Leadership students led the assembly with the first activity being the introduction of the Homecoming King and Queen candidates who made their grand entrance onto the floor.

Chambered for Charity Sporting Clays Event in Carson City set for Sept. 21

Chambered for Charity, an unincorporated non-profit, invites community members to sign up for the first Aim to Cure Sporting Clays Shoot on Sept. 21, 2019 at the Capitol City Gun Club in Carson City, Nev.

Chambered for Charity was formed by the women of two local Reno companies, Legacy Sports International and Reno Cerakote. Their mission is “to enhance the lives of others through charitable donations while promoting the safe, responsible use of firearms.”

Survivors of Carson City infant hostage situation now facing potential eviction

It was a day like any other when ShaRae Staley woke on August 3 in her home on N. Edmonds Street in Carson City. She received a message from her husband, who she had separated from six weeks previous, that he wanted to come over and make their children breakfast and take them to the park. ShaRae agreed, as any mother would.

When her husband, Cortney Staley, arrived, nothing seemed amiss. He came and made their children breakfast, and she went to work.
