Carson Animal Services Initiative would like to thank everyone who joined us on May 18 for our annual Woofs, Wine and Whiskers wine tasting event. Once again people came together to help animals in need, and we are grateful!
CASI continues to assist the community through our Critter Fixer low-cost spay/neuter voucher program for low-income applicants.

June 22, 2018 - 5:00pm Carson Animal Services Initiative, also known as CASI, will host its annual Woofs, Wine and Whiskers on June 22 at the Governor's Mansion. Even though the Carson City shelter has been built, CASI is still working hard to assist animals in need through programs such as Critter Fixer, our low cost spay and neuter voucher program.

Make this weekend something special. School starts up on Monday and it will be Halloween before we blink an eye. The Carl Howell Memorial Music Festival at Battle Born Harley boasts a full day of live music, vendors, activities and family fun. Bowers Mansion plays host to the annual Bluegrass Festival – bring a picnic and enjoy. Downtown Carson City will see the first of three monthly Beer Crawls; if you get there early, head over to Remedy’s to witness their yearly Bloody Mary Competition. There is something for everyone this weekend, so keep reading and find your fun.

The event will be catered by the Casino Fandango who has prepared wonderful appetizers to pair with the wines to be tasted.

The wine walk is on the top of the weekend to-do list for many of you, but Carson City has a lot more going on. Ascent Runs is hosting a 5/10K and a half marathon at C-Hill on Saturday. You can register at the race, just make sure you aren’t late. Youth Football season has arrived with sign-ups for SYFL and Pop Warner on Saturday. Cheer on the Western Nevada College Wildcats as their Baseball and Softball teams battle against Salt Lake City Community College.

February 7, 2014 - 5:30pm The event will take place at the Carson City Nugget on February 7th from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. The evening event will include wine tasting, appetizers, chocolate and entertainment.
