Today the Carson City Soroptimist meet to talk about the McKinney-Vento program, and tonight the Carson City School District will hold a public meeting asking the community to weigh in on the district's strategic plan. Floral Watercolor Workshop with Colleen Reynolds

Colleen Reynolds will teach the second in a series of four watercolor workshops, sponsored by the Artsy Fartsy Creative Center in Carson City. Each workshop is independent but reinforces skills learned in others. Designed for beginner to intermediate adult painters. Book soon! The first workshop sold out. On the first day, students will "play" with color and other watercolor supplies to learn technique. On the second day, we will paint from a beautiful flower bouquet and/or photos. Lunch provided.

Artsy Fartsy Creative Center building sense of community

When Artsy Fartsy owner Jeffery Pace moved his art gallery out of the tidy 400 square-foot cottage at Telegraph Square and into a Victorian home around the corner along Nevada Street, his plan was to keep the original building and turn it into an artist studio.
