Sea to Shining Sea riders to bicycle through Carson City

Sports’ inaugural bike trek across America called Sea to Shining Sea. The group will arrive in Carson City on May 28 on their way to their Virginia Beach, Va., destination.

Musser Street, Carson City.
This year's special guest will be Miss Nevada USA 2010 Julianna Erdesz.

Cops and Kids Sheriff’s Open House was started by Sheriff Ken Furlong as part of the community policing efforts implemented by his administration.

The unstoppable evolution of health care reform

I understand and respect the positions of those who think government should not be a part of the health care system, that the free market will fix everything. It's an interesting philosophical position, but it faces the brick wall of reality.
