Super Bowl Sunday: Where to watch, things to do around Carson City

Area you ready for some football? North, south, east, west, or downtown: there’s a good time to be found: drink specials and football squares everywhere. If you couldn’t care less about the Patriot-Falcons match-up, then consider BINGO for CASI or bowling and some Valentine cookie decorating. Dayton Valley Chili Cookoff and Superbowl Party Benefits Food Pantry

The Dayton Chili Cookers are again partnering with Healthy Communities Coalition’s Dayton Food Pantry for a big chili cookoff, Superbowl party, silent auction,and raffle to benefit the Pantry.

The event begins at noon on Sunday, February 5th at the Dayton Valley Golf Course and Grill. Judging begins at 1 p.m.

Healthy Communities January 2017 Meeting Canceled

The January Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties (HCC) meeting has been canceled since the Nevada Human Services Network award breakfast is at the same time. Healthy Communities would like for staff and group partners to have time to attend the important awards ceremony in Reno to honor the very deserving awardees.

Empire Ranch to host Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1, at 3pm, Mallards Restaurant will be hosting a Superbowl Party and all-you-can-eat buffet. The game begins at 3:30, but get there early for good seats. Please call 775-885-1019 for reservations. The restaurant is located at the Empire Ranch Golf Course, 1875 Fair Way; turn south onto Empire Ranch Road from Highway 50 East, then left onto Clubhouse.
