CARSON CITY, Nev. - What could be the final debate between Lieutenant Governor hopefuls Sue Lowden and Mark Hutchison hit some hot topics on Tuesday.

At the general meeting and finial candidates forum held on April 24, 2014, held at Silver State High School, the members of the committee voted to endorse the following Republican candidates for 2014 elections.

This week's Women to Women Nevada interview is with Sue Lowden, candidate for Lt. Governor of Nevada. Sue candidly shares her reasons why she's chosen to re-enter the political arena and what she intends to deliver to the people of Nevada.

Ms. Lowden discusses challenges she's faced and how's she taken on those challenges. She is also a proud Nevadan who has been working both in front and behind the scenes to bring international and national interests to the state.

This week's Women to Women Nevada features Kellie Butterworth, a registered dental hygienist. She works for the Washoe Tribal Health Center and has done missionary work in South America.

CARSON CITY – Gov. Jim Gibbons has appointed Sue Lowden to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners. Lowden has lived and worked in Nevada for more than 30 years. She is a former Nevada state senator who recently ran in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate.

RENO – Half a dozen candidates in the crowded GOP field seeking to take on Harry Reid in the U.S. Senate race in November debated here Friday, with responses showing more agreement than discord on issues ranging from immigration reform to the need to reduce the size of the federal government.

In an automated one-question survey of likely Republican voters conducted for the Nevada News Bureau on April 22 by PMI, Inc., U.S. Senate candidate Sue Lowden earned 41 percent of the vote compared to 24 percent for Danny Tarkanian, 17 percent for Sharron Angle and 18 percent who prefer someone else.
