Her presentation will concern the pros and cons of rent control and the need for diversified housing.

A nonprofit organization that helps with services to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and our Veterans.
Services include:
1. Assistance with filling out paper work to apply for services.
2. Assistance with finding stable housing

Her presentation will be an update on the status of her efforts to obtain stable sources of grant funding for the organization's ongoing activities, and ways that members of the public might be able to help with those efforts.

Wells Fargo Study Finds Senior Isolation and Loneliness a Growing Concern as Pandemic Continues

According to a Wells Fargo study conducted by The Harris Poll from Nov. 17-19 , a quarter (25%) of all seniors age 60 and above report feeling isolated and lonely, and over a third (43%) can go days without talking to others and spend most of their time alone.

Stimulus Program Information
The coronavirus relief bill passed March 27 by Congress provides payments to individuals who make less than $100,000 a year. The payment total $1,200 for each adult who makes $75,000 or less, plus $500 per child. The payment amounts decrease if you make between $75,000 and $99,000. The income is determined by your latest tax return filed with the IRS. It will use your 2019 taxes if you have filed them already, or your 2018 taxes if you haven't. Carson City man arrested for lewdness with a child, stolen credit cards, obstruction and more
Submitted by Kelsey Penrose on Sat, 02/29/2020 - 11:18amA 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the area of 2nd and Curry on four felony counts including two fugitive from justice warrants for lewdness with a child and obstruction, one count of using a false ID to avoid prosecution, and one count of obtaining or possessing credit cards without consent.
According to the report, Gary Pedrucci was arrested after Special Enforcement Team deputies were traveling south on Curry Street and saw an SUV partially in the roadway for north and south traffic.
