Partnership Carson City’s online yoga Monday has been moved to 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. The free Wellness Yoga series going virtual is part of an effort to continue to provide a needed respite with the ongoing limitations as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Doctor to talk about painkiller addictions and pain management

On Thursday, June 18, Partnership Carson City and Sierra Nevada Forums will host a guest speaker, Dr. Mel Pohl, who will discuss “Medications, Addiction and Pain Management.” 

The public forum begins at 6 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admittance is free but donations are accepted. The location is the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 449 W. King St., Carson City. Dr. Lali Sekhon performs first OLIF spine surgery in Northern Nevada

Dr. Lali Sekhon, a surgeon with Sierra Neurosurgery Group in Reno, is the first physician in northern Nevada to complete an Oblique Lumbar Interbody Fusion.

The OLIF25 procedure, created just two years ago, is a minimally-invasive surgical technique used to place an interbody graft into the spinal column while minimizing obstacles presented by nerves, bones and muscles.
