The free, annual event is led by the Society of Women Engineers and FIRST Nevada.

Jim Barcellos of University Nevada Cooperative Extension leads his popular interactive science activity on Tuesday, July 9 from 10 to noon at the Silver City School House, 385 High Street. The activity is free and all children ages 8-12, with their parents, are invited to attend.

July 3, 2018 - 10:00am SILVER CITY, Nev. — Jim Barcellos of University Nevada Cooperative Extension will offer science fun on both July 3 and July 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Silver City School House community center. The activities are free and all children ages 8-12 and their parents are welcome to the free events. Parents are asked to stay and join in the fun and help with clean up.

Gov. Brian Sandoval proclaimed December as Computer Science Careers Month in the Year of STEM and also announced he has joined the Governors’ Partnership for K-12 Computer Science, a nationwide network dedicated to expanding computer science education.
